Zooms in and out

I'm thinking this is an OS problem. When I open programs like IE, Acrobat, Office Programs, etc. the page either shrinks slow till it's tiny or zooms in until it's huge. A reboot will fix problem but eventually it will start up again. This is on a Dell Inspiron and it happens whether it is docked using an external mouse and keyboard and it happens when I am mobile using the built in keyboard and scroll pad. The laptop runs XP Pro.

I'm wondering if it could be video driver problem? I'll try to uninstall and either update or reinstall.

Sounds more like a mouse setting or incorrect driver. Go to your Mouse's control applet from the control panel and verify all the settings are correct and that the correct mouse is identified. In general, any mouse will change magnification settings if the keyboard's control key is pressed while the mouse scroll wheel is being used... so if you're having this issue recheck your mouse and keyboard settings/drivers.
