Boom Max memory capacity for XP

what is the max memory capacity for XP? Is it true that 32bit XP only support up to 4G of memory and 64bit XP support more than 4G of memory.

what is the max memory capacity for Vista?

Both OS's are the same..

32bit will only see/use about 3.2 gigs.
64bit will see/use what ever the mobo can take.

There are Many threads on the subject in case you need more info.

There are lots of threads on it, but if your question is "can you use 4GB" then yes, you can. Windows 32 bit will only report about 3.25:

All is not lost, though, as the extra is supposedly used by windows to load overhead items besides the memory overhead.
