Is there anyway to sort of optimize your entire system? (Paranoid)

I am riding on the paranoid train to kingdom insanity at the moment. My computer has been acting not strange but not normal neither, and that is annoying me to instability.

I leave it on 24/7, as usual, and just today when I turned the monitor on to check on something I left downloading overnight the thing was in the midst of a restart.....Wt heck. I was downloading a 21Gig torrent, so i don't know if that affect anything. Usually I can leave thing to download overnight just dandy w/out any hic, but that today really picked my brain.

Also, my the time it takes to start up is inconsistent. I usually count the number of bars that load in the screen after the check list of hardware, XP home user should be familiar to this. One time it will be like 8 the other it will take like 12-14. Something is definitely up! I'm not crazy!!

Another thing, I have 2 gig of ram and an 8800 GT running at 2.8 Mhz, but sometime I feel as if they are not being fully utilize. I'm pretty sure with that specs, I can do two things at once simultaneously, for example running avg full system scan while playing CSS, but no. When I try that, it lags CSS the game, not the internet CSS. I also have enough space to build a 700 person community, where as each person is made up of 1Gig.

I've trying scanning with various anti-virus, adware, etc but nothing suspicious.
Any idea to this?

You never mentioned anything about ccleaner? Try that.

Also try spybot search and destroy as well as superantispyware.

Run disk defragment as well.

ccleaner, nothing serious as far as registry and stuffs.

How do you work superantispyware? All I get is like a mini browser of various buttons that don't seem to do much.

Disk Defrag recommend me no need for such, plus I expect my system to perform tip top w/out the need of defrag. Considering how much actual installed programs I have and plain files.

Post the complete system specs for this computer.

How many background programs are you running?

Do you download and install a lot of stuff? Do you use a anti-virus to scan the files before you install them?

Are you downloading legimate programs and files?

Yea, a lot of torrents have malicious trojans planted in them now. So read comments before downloading anything.

What were you meaning by-optimize the system?

"Disk Defrag recommend me no need for such, plus I expect my system to perform tip top w/out the need of defrag."
Everything I have seen says you need to defrag once in a while, The first one could take some time.

A HJT log might be a good idea (torrents).

That is the usual processors that I run, w/ the occasion CSS and PS2. My concern is really how come I lag noticably when I try to run two heavy programs at once, such as AVG and CSS or any other scanner. I should have more than enough recourses to do any of these, or any combination above.

Ok, here is the new thing. If I start downloading/seeding any torrent, Fire Fox won't even run. I mean I click on the icon, and nothing goes.....

It is pissing off...And this thing has only recently starting to happen, like two days.

Your log looks clean to me. The only thing that could be removed is

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Looks like something left behind. Also, a tip. Run your HJT folder on the root of the C: drive or it won't be able to produce and use a backup file.
