How to copy FAVORITES ?
Recently had to do a clean install of XP / Office. Thankfully, I had just backed up the .pst files from Outlook. My Favorites file was a little older, but at least I had 98% to copy over. So now I am adding Favorites to my weekly backup routine. Problem is-when I rename the copy of Favorites (I add the date), the name change also shows up on the original located on the C: drive. My backups are on a physically separate HD. I don't understand why I can't just make a copy on the separate drive without affecting the original. Is there another way to copy beside the right click?

Copy the Favorites folder to the external, then rename it on the external.

you can do with glc's way or you can export the favorites from internet explorer...go to File->Import and Export->next->select Export Favorites....
