Create XP install disk for laptop

I have an acer laptop which came with xp pro pre installed. It also has a recovery partition. I also have made recovery boot disks as per the acer recovery program.

Is it possible to create an XP pro installation disk for the laptop so i can slipstream the service packs on to it, to save me reinstalling all the updates if i do a fresh install?

Unfortunately, no. The best you can do is make an image of the main partition with Ghost or True Image. The only XP disks that can be slipstreamed are generics, none of the name brand recovery CD/DVD's can be slipstreamed.
