Angry Fire Chinese Fonts Showing Up In Adobe Reader

I am trying to print an English language document using Adobe reader. The problem is that the document looks fine on my PC. When I go to print it using my Canon printer, wherever there is an " 's " combination, it is replaced by a Chinese character.

I have searched for any place where there may be Asian languages enabled and removed all of that. But this still keeps happening.

I thought Adobe reader was supposed to print exactly what is shown on the screen. Isn't that the value of this reader?

Can anyone tell me how to get Adobe to actually print what is displayed on the screen?

It could be a font that your printer simply doesn't like and is choking on it. Trying a different printer would be a good test.

That does not resolve it. I read that Adobe Reader may have been installed using these fonts, so I tried uninstalling Adobe Reader and restarting my PC. It gets even worse now. When I go to download and install a fresh version of Adobe Reader, the install notice (the small window showing status) is in CHINESE. I have removed absolutely EVERYTHING imaginable referring to Chinese, and it just won't go away.

So now I have a larger question - How do I get IE to display downloading status in English?

Send a message via MSN to Powertrip
Or go into Adobe settings and set to print as image. That usually clears it up.

Are your location settings for Windows and IE set to where you live?
