Need to move hard drive..
My dad's computer's PSU died 2 days ago. It had a capacitor laying on the side and the coil burnt to hell.
I moved his hard drive, a SATA with Windows XP Pro, SP2 I think, into a spare I have. I did Windows Repair through the Windows XP cd and when I boot up it said I couldn't login because I have to activate it. I tried some things, copying my mom's wpa.dbl (system32 folder) into my dad's to see if that'll help, I also did an activation fix I downloaded because it was supposed to be already activated. Now, I get "You must activate Windows before you can login." I click Activate, and it says "Windows is already activated, press OK to exit." I press OK and it logs me off. The only user account is Administrator. Does anyone know how to fix this? The windows was working fine, genuine and all and updatable..
