Problem with ICON's next to file names

I downloaded this program to read video files and it changed all my movie file icons to little orange cones. I uninstalled the program and they are still there. I have set it to always open with windows media player but the icon still didnt change. I am running Windows XP.

How the do I change the icons back to the wmp symbol? its extremely annoying.

Thanks.

(wasnt sure where to post this, hope this section is allright.)

Right click one of the videos, select "open with", select the program you wish to use, check the box that allows you to always open with the selected program, hit OK.

Was the name of that program VLC?
I used it for a while and then uninstalled it. After uninstall, I ran a search for files pertaining to the program, deleted them and then ran Easy Cleaner's Registry cleaner. No problems with the icons.
Something is still in your files loading the icon.

Download and install TweakUI.

Repair tab - rebuild icons.

First of all you uninstall the original procedure, and repair your registry files, re-download.
