Not geting security option in WinXP

I just got an IBM laptop with WinXP Pro installed in it, but when I checked control panel,I didnot see security center and windows firewall icon there. Is it because I donot have SP2 or SP3 installed in my computer?

I don't recall if they were in the original or SP1, but I do know if you don't have at least SP2, the firewall is almost useless.

SP2 was the first time they included the security center and firewall.

You can check to see what version of XP you have installed by right clicking on "my computer" and clicking "properties".
