DX10.1 on XP 64bit?
I tried Googling this, but I can't seem to find any conclusive answers, so I'll turn here!
I'm building a new rig, and I don't want to touch Vista with a 10-foot pole, but I still need to at least upgrade to XP 64-bit. But I'm also investing in an ATi 4870, so I want to be able to use DX10.1. But there's the problem. I can't seem to find the yes or no I need. Does DX10.1 work on 64bit XP Pro?

I believe dx 10 and above is only for vista.

Right, DX 10 is vista-only.
DX 11 is in the works, and while I would very much like to see it appear on XP, as XP has technically been discontinued, it most likely will not show up on anything other than Vista and Windows 7 http://www.tgdaily.com/html_tmp/cont...-38362-98.html
