Question Download "Hybernate" for XP Home?

Hi Guys and Gals

I have XP Pro that allows my pc to hybernate. My wifes pc runs XP Home without that option. Is there a download available for XP Home that will give that pc the same option to hybernate?

Hibernate is available in both flavours of XP. If it's not present you might not have installed the latest drivers for the chipset or it isn't a feature available.

You typically have to enable power saving in BIOS then go to the Power Options control panel and set it up.

If you are looking for hibernate by selecting "Turn off computer" from the Start menu, you have to hold shift at the shutdown screen, that will turn "Standby" into "Hibernate".
