You Computer Has Recovered From A Serious Error

First i'll start off by giving you my system specs:

Gigabyte S-series GA-P35-S3G Intel motherboard
Inter Core 2 Duo E4600 LGA 775 2.40 Ghz Processor
2GB Kingston ValueRam KVR800D2N6/1G (2 sticks 1GB each)
Windows XP - SP3

I built this computer back in March. And ever since i get random re-boots! Probably 6 or 7 times a month on average. Most of the time(but not all the time) it happens when i click on the "back" button of my web browser(Internet Explorer 6). Screen goes black and computer reboots and when windows finishes loading i get the "serious error" message.

Anybody out there have any idea what could be causing this? Bad Ram??

Is your pc randomly rebooting itself? You can go to

Control Panel->System icon->Advance tab->Startup & Recovery Settings button. UNcheck/disable the "auto reboot" option. Instead of rebooting you'll probably get a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) which can be searched on for a solution.

You can go to http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1 to search on for example: STOP 0x00000050

Any reason why you haven't upgraded to IE7 yet?

Hello glc,

I've tried upgrading to IE7 twice. And both times nothing but problems. The browser just locks up on me. Double click on IE7 icon, browser will start to load then locks up. Not sure what's up with that so i've been running version 6 which works perfectly. I doubt that has anything to do with random reboots though right?
