Problem entering Hibernation

Normally, entering Hibernation hasn't been a problem, but after doing a fresh reinstall of XP Pro, I get the following message:

"The device driver for the "WDC WD205AA-00BAA0" device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you my need to update this driver."

How do I identify this device so I can try an find an updated driver? Or if someone knows of another fix? Thanks.

You need to install the motherboard drivers.

Try that, and report back.

Nope, had no effect. It's weird, Standby works OK, but Hibernate doesn't. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

First, have you updated to sp3? If not, try that and see if it fixes it.

What are your specs? Is this home built? If so, have you changed any of the suspend options in bios?

Have you checked the power options in widows to see if one of those would have an effect?
