Unfortunately the fix didn't last

As I wrote in my last thread "http://www.pcmech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=199765" I thought running the RegistryBooster had fixed the problem of when typing the program was keeping up with the typing.

This was not just related to word, openoffice...it was happening in all the applications that are used on this computer.

It now is not only not keeping up with the typing, but it's taking longer and longer to open any application.

Again this machine is a Systemax Athlon 64 with 2.5 GB of memory. It's running on an EIDE hard drive.

Again, any options or thoughts to put this problem to rest would much be appreciated.

First, get www.ccleaner.com and let that run. Also run the registry cleaner there.

Then I would get rid of Norton. http://solutions.symantec.com/sdccom...070816103157EN

Then run ccleaner again.

See how that goes.

(And for the future, just add on to your old thread. Makes it easier to follow then trying to switch back.)

Sorry shadowpr.....but was afraid no one would realize I had gotten the problem back if I used the old thread.

Will check out your answers and let you know what happens next.
