i have a couple of files or logs that i would like to get rid of since i have been cleaning my computer by hand, folder by folder and would like to know if these mean anything and if i should let them stay right where they are, i can not copy the names but they are as follows:

KB938127.LOG, i have alot of these but with just different numbers i understand they are logs but can i delete them without worry.

the other is:
$ntuninstallkb890859$

they are all under the windows folder: c:/windows

if anyone have any idea if i can delete these please let me know. thank you

If you are certain that you'll Never need to uninstall a Microsoft update, then yes, the files are safe to delete.

Have you Googled these files to see what they are? I would do that first.

I would just delete them, and leave them in your recycle bin for a few days if you're woried.

Personally, I would just delete them.

If trying to clean out your pc, look at www.ccleaner.com

IMO, you should keep the folders unless you're seriously low on disk space and can't afford a secondary hard drive, but you can safely delete the logs, because they have absolutely no value if you've been using your computer with no problems for a while after the updates were installed.

BTW, as EzyStvy implied, these are detritus from various Windows Updates. The folders are uninstall information, and the .log files just say what happened during the install.
