Windows Media Player - No Video!

Just upgraded my mother's computer. Downloaded WMP version 11 and no video! Audio's fine but you can't see anything. It was a .wmv file i was trying to watch. Am I missing a codec or something like that?

Look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926373/en-us

If no go, I think the k-lite codec would work. Not sure though. Might want to wait on others to comment about that.

And where would i find this k-lite codec? When i play a .wmv file, it says im using this video codec, "Windows media player V8". I wonder if this is an old outdated video codec?
