Enqueue FLV files to WMP 9
Hi
Is there a way we can include a context menu option 'Queue-It-Up' or similar (In windows explorer), to enqueue FLV files in WMP? I have K-Lite pack with FLV codec installed on the PC. Also, can this be done by tweaking the Windows Registry? Regards Ed |

I don't think FLV files will play in WMP at all.
Riva FLV Player will play them, though: http://www.download.com/Riva-FLV-Pla...dlPid=10442977 VLC offers *limited* FLV support, up through 0.8.6e I believe, but it appears to have been dropped after that and will be reintroduced in version 0.9 Your other option is to convert the FLV files to a media format that WMP will play. I prefer using WinFF, but there's probably some more specific conversion tools floating around out there too.

Thanks for your response. In fact, I am using WMP9 for playing FLV files. I had installed K-Lite codec pack that includes a WMP plugin for playing FLV files. I have no issue playing FLV files, but when I right-click an FLV file (in Windows Explorer), I do not see any 'Queue-It-Up' option in the shortcut menu (I find this for other files such as mp3, etc).
I would like to know whether there is a way to tweak Win XP to show the 'Queue-It-Up' option for FLV files also. Thanks Ed Last edited by edison; 08-12-2008 at 02:42 AM. Reason: updated |

Have you set the file association to WMP?
My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > "File Types" tab |

Or you can try right-clicking on the FLV file, select Open With, and then select WMP from the list, to try and make the association. I don't know about the "queue it up" stuff, but that's what I always do when I want a file to be played with some other program.
