Assign commands to laptop keyboard select buttons

On my laptop I have 2 buttons above the touch pad (track stick buttons)and 2 below(touch pad buttons).

http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=1812

[I] use the top 2 more than the lower 2, the both do the same thing left click and right click

I would like to map the 'touch pad buttons' to 'back' and 'forward' in internet explorer 7

How can i do this in windows XP or with some software/script?

Alt+ left arrow makes browser go back
Alt+ right arrow makes browser go forward

i can assign a command to run a program pressing both buttons at once but where do i find the command to make this "back" in IE7.

it only gives me options like auto scroll etc.
