Have you tried just pressing Enter when it asks for a password?

It sounds like you are trying to use the repair console. What are you going to do when you get in there? You will be at a DOS prompt.

If you are using the repair console, just hit enter

If you are trying to access windows itself then you are pretty much screwed unless you buy a program that can by pass it, which is legitmate/ legal and very expensive

I know I have one

There are free solutions out there, as with most anything else.

Just note, as per rule #9, we do not discuss techniques or tools that bypass security/passwords: http://forum.pcmech.com/rules.php

Password

I did buy the Windows CD about 2 years ago,but when I installed it, I think it asked for an Administrator password but I didn't put one in as I didn't know what an administrator was!

Then you should simply be able to hit "enter" when it asks. I still want to know why you are trying to use the console.
