XP sp2 throws whole system
 Just got a throw away from a local school (upgrading to vista laptops) Desktop unit with xp 2.4 processor etc little to no ram. Took it home to use as a media centre and installed my registered xp OS on over the top as a reboot. Prompted to continue with sp2 disc and when loaded and restarted my graphics went to what could only be described as safe mode graphics. I tried to reset the LCD panel settings and it would not let meeven open properties withright click. I have given up and may bin the damn thing but your advice would shed some light on it I hope.
