my relatively ne pc (desktop) has been running fine for over 6 months now untill this morning when for some strange reason not one of the usb ports work. out of the 6 ports 4 just do nothing, not even a sound or confirmation than anything ever happened, and the other 2 just tell me that i'm plugging in "unknown usb device" no matter what i plug in. yet only 10 hours before my printer, external HDDs card reader and game controller were all working fine.
i have been on the internet trying various people's solutions but none work. in the BIOS my voltages are well within operating limits, the latest usb driver has been installed fater uninstalling and rebooting the previous one, full system restore to over a week ago...nothing works. any ideas? thanks in advance.
