Soundforge 8 Installation error

Hello everyone,
I'm getting this error when I try to setup Soundforge 8 on my PC. I've attached a screen shot of the error message.

I've no clue as to why I'm getting this error.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers!

Did you contact the vendor for a new dll file like the message says?

Steve, user32.dll and shell32.dll are Microsoft files.

In this case, note this section in that article:

Similar problems and solutions
You may receive a similar error message that references Shell32.dll when you run AVG Anti-Virus Control Center from Grisoft, Inc. This problem occurs if you are also running BricoPack Vista Inspirat from CrystalXP. To resolve this problem, uninstall BricoPack Vista Inspirat.

Note This is not a problem with AVG Anti-Virus Control Center or with Windows. This problem is not resolved when you install update 935448.
I looked through Sony support and there's no article on this. I'm going to give you an educated guess and say that you have something else installed that's conflicting. Trying to nail that down is not easy. I'd start by uninstalling stuff that you can easily reinstall later - beginning with your antivirus and any other apps that run in the startup/in the background.

Thanks EzyStvy & glc for your replies.

Hi glc,
I got the same dll error when I tried to install Corel DRAW Graphics Suite X3. Yes glc, I think you're right. I've installed "FlyakiteOSX". It's a look alike Mac transformation pac similar to Vista transformation pack.

Before installing this program I didn't used to get this error. I'll uninstall this thing and see if it works without an error.

Thanks very much.

Cheers!
