Is it safe/wise to uninstall Service Pack 3? I went to Windows Update about a week ago and installed XP SP3 and ever since I've had a bunch of really annoying problems. I see it listed in Add/Remove Programs. MY problems are...
My boot takes twice as long... In IE7 I sometimes need to hit the back button three times to go back a page... My gaming performance has dropped considerably (choppy FPS) and I have a very recent driver maybe even the latest... When I click on certain buttons or links either on the net or in an application I get loud crackling noises through my speakers when I click... My iTunes doesn't want to work/open... |

I had the same problems kinda. So I uninstalled on both of my machines. Then of course windows update wants to reinstall so I turned that off. What happens in the future when there maybe some new updates that I will need, how do I get them without reinstalling sp3?
