Changing XP Key

OK, I have installed XP for a friend who`s computer I am fixing.
Now I need to change it over to their cd key to validate it.
Can someone tell me how to do that?
I can get it done with your help.
I had to use my XP Home cd to install it.
Let me know what I need to do to keep this all legal.
Thank you,
Dick

There's nothing to change, as long as you use their CD key during the installation process. The XP Home disks are all the same, just the key numbers that they send with them are different. So, if you use your XP home cd to install it on his machine and he has a valid XP home key number, just put his key number in when the install asks for it and it should be fine. In other words, your key number is not encoded on your disk and his on his disk, they're the same program, you just have to put in your own individual activation key.

Hi all, I used the key updater and that did the trick just fine.
Thanks Ezy for the help.
I didn`t know they had that.
