cli.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0x7f4 (2036), Thread id=0x7f8 (2040)

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

I get this error every time my computer starts up. I don't know what it means or anything. How can I fix this? Thanks.

That's often a process related to ATI type video cards. Did you switch vid cards lately or change drivers?

I haven't changed cards, still using the original one. But I did recently reinstall windows and reinstall my drivers. What should I do about this?

Did you do all Windows updates and install the latest drivers for everything?

I always do the windows updates and I installed all the drivers that Dell gave me to install so I think I should be ok there. But is there any way to check this?

Download the latest drivers from Dell, not the ones that came on the Resource CD.

I am also having this problem...

I recently installed a new Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combination (EX110), and a new HP P1006 printer, and I have started receiving this message as well. Does anyone know what I should do about it?

Welcome to PCMech !!

It's usually best to start a new thread for new problems as you'll usually get more answers / suggestions (folks don't have to read thru somebody else's info first). What is the exact error code(s)? Did you start having problems after one install or the other? -- it's always best to install one thing at a time, test it out for a while, then install the next item. Where you having any other problems? Did you uninstall your older software first? Did you do the suggestions above, like install the latest drivers from the manufacturer's Web site?
