Server 2003 HDD questions
Hello Everyone
I am logged remotely into a friends server 2003 machine and it is showing 2 hard drives - one is a usb attached external, I think to be used for backups with Buffalo software.....my questions are: 1. one hdd is NTFS format(system) and the external usb is FAT32....should they both be NTFS? 2. is this buffalo software any good for backing up files or is there something better? He is also using carbonite for offsite backups.... Thank you |

1) NTFS is more reliable and can handle larger file sized and FAT32 is more backward compatible (which is a dying need). If backward compatibility is not an issue, I'd go NTFS.
2) never used it, so I can't comment. |
