I have decided that I am going to learn Linux and then imgrate to Unbutu OS , I have windows XP home edition and I can't install MS virutal PC 2004 or 2007 because i don't have a pro edtion. so What i want to know is is there a freeware opensource alternative to MS Virutal PC that i can install on my home edition to learn more about Linux

Virtualbox would work fine. I've used it with ubuntu and kubuntu desktop versions.
