test the memory, run memtest86. UBCD is bootable and can be run from there. Also run the hard drive diagnostics (use the HD Mfg's software) on UBCD

According to the website booting from a USB drive is still experimental, I find the cd is the easiest way. download the .iso image then use your cd burning software to burn an image.

Use Nero Express, and select Disk Image or Saved Project. Browse to the .iso file.

Do the ram and hard drive pass diagnostics? That stop error is indicative of bad ram and/or a hard drive with bad sectors.

....,-can I ask you guys, all I know, my processor is Intel P4 2.0ghz, but I don't know if it's 32 bit or 64 bit?? How can I know? My computer won't open yet because I'm in a middle of problems while installing OS. Is there any connections with the processor and the OS? 64 bit processor = Windows XP Pro 64 bit, 32 bit processor = Windows Xp pro.. Is that so?... And can I ask shoud I update my BIOS? Because its almost years past before I power it again...

Read these, and see if they help any:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/236086/

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/153742

If the hard drive diagnostics passed, then I would probably do a zero fill (programs can be found on the Ultimate Boot CD) and then try to install Windows after that.

Use standard 32 bit XP. XP 64 bit drivers are hard to come by.
