Data recovery
Compaq Presario would not load windows even in safe mode. Used F10 and Compaq recovery to reinstall original windows settings while saving all my data.
Now my hard drive still has all my data but I can't access files like my music through start menu. If I use windows explorer I can see and access all my previous data (IE- music and pictures). How can I return that data to access normally? Thanks |

Take a look at the file paths and see if they are the same. I betting they aren't.

You're correct paths are different. Don't know what to do next, how can I get My Music, Documents and Pictures to recognize my original files.
Thanks |

Moving them one at a time to the current active folder might be the easiest way.
Thanks to all for responding. |
