win xp home installation hangs during driver install

i need help trying to install a new copy of win xp home to a blank but partitioned Seagate 500GB HDD x 2 SATA II it keeps hanging or BSOD when installing devices everythign is brand new!! the seagate website states the HHDs do not require any new drivers mobo has no support as well im lost........ i need MECH SUPPORT!!!

MotherBoard: Asus P5Q SE bios ver 0409
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550@2.83ghz plus::: Zalman CPNS9500AT 92mm CPU cooler
RAM: 2x 2GB Corsair DDR2 1066ghz pc2-8500 C5 dominator kit
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT 1GB DDR2
HDD: 2x SATA II Seagate Cuda 500GB 7200 rpm 32Mb cache
DVD: Samsung RW
PSU: Logisys 575w
OS: Win XP Home Full version

One little spec of dust on the cd or drive could cause this.

Google the STOP 0X error code would be a good idea too.

nothing nada zip ....no impact , no idea.... i need something better than ``dust`` stop error code yielded goose eggs....i dont get it everything is brand new... EVERYTHING....and im still getting installation errors ***???????

CLEAN the CD and the drive.
POST the stop error codes.

Windows installed OK, right? If so, which drivers are erroring out? If the motherboard drivers, make sure you load drivers for the correct Windows version.
Are you doing a RAID with the 2 HDs?

Is the XP disc new? A damaged disc (the damage may not be visible) can also cause that problem.

I assume the errors are occuring while your attempting to install the OS,is this correct?
Make sure antivirus is disabled in bios.
Did you have XP partition the drive?
Have you run a diagnostic on the hard drive(available from Seagate)?
Have you made sure the memory is in the right slots?
What cdrom are you using(sata or ide)?
