Hi gang
I had a bug a while back and things got changed a bit until I got rid of it. Now my computer use to go from a boot up pretty fast, now it is pretty slow. Now when I first start it up in the morning fresh it jumps right to it, but if I have to do a restart it drags. As I remember I some time ago deleted some thing that Windows does on a restart, that you can disable, and I don't remember what that was. I remember when I did that it did speed up the restarts. It is some sort of a check up that windows has built in when you reboot.restart your computer. I did this delete before I had that bug and since I got rid of the bug I think things got changed. Does any one know what it is.? I cannot remember the name of it. I had to reinstall XP so I think it put this back in by default. Thanx....Gunny

Hi Ezy
If I remember right that was about slow everything, start up and shut down. Now it seems to be just when you have to reboot/restart. Thanx.....Gunny Last edited by redvette; 12-04-2008 at 02:35 AM. |
