New computer with split personality

I'm trying to find some old website links on an old hard drive.

I recently built a new computer. I didn't consider that I was going to want my old hard drive when I build the new computer. So when I put it together I realized my old hard could only be connected through IDE while my new HD is connected with SATA connectors.

Not a problem however I now find that I want some website links from my old hard drive however I can't seem to find them when I do a general search. And here's an even stranger situation. Periodically, lets say 3 times in the last two months since I've built this system, when I reboot the computer, the old HD takes over and Its like its my old computer. This hasn't happened recently or I wouldn't be writing this.

So! I have two questions:

1) Is there some way to find my old website bookmarks on the old HD?
2) How is this old HD booting when the new one is listed as the primary?

Thanks for the help all. I hope this makes sense.

Josh

To find your old bookmarks, you need to look in the right folder. You need to search for them.

What browser, and what os were you using? If windows, and IE, look for the user profile, and under your name for a folder called favorites.
