Unhappy {HELP} My computer freezes at start up when it's not touched.

When I turn on my computer and let it load without touching it, it freezes. Sometimes I have to do something, thus I don't sit and wait for it to start up. When I come back, it freezes and I cannot touch anything. My mouse doesn't freeze though. Everything else does. When I wait for my start up, I have to click something/click around and It will not freeze. Does anyone know the problem? Thanks.

I've done a virus check, spyware check, virus check, cleaned registry and disk.
My computer isn't that old either.. It has 4.00 GHZ & 3GB Ram (Intel Premium) Windows XP
