I've just upgraded a pc from win me to xp professional. When it logs on to the net there is no icon in the system tray showing the 2 computers. This i like to have there to check what speed i'm connected at and i log off by double clicking on it first. How can i get this back?

You might try looking in you dial-up properties for an option to place the icon in the system tray. I connect through a network so I can't say for sure if there is an option for your dial-up connection or not.

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network connections, Properties, put a tick in the little box.
