Has anyone seen this particular XP Pro tweak?
The PCs that are provided with the equipment we sell have had alot of Windows XP Pro tweaks done to then to work with the application and lock out the end user from making changes
. One of the tweaks that have befuddled us is in Disk Management, in the lower panel the CD drives have been locked out and removed but the HD is still shown. The CD drive show under My Computer and in the BIOS. Looks like the reason for this tweak is to keep the CD drive locked to a particualr drive letter. The reason for asking about this is that I have two systems going to a customer and I want them to appear the same but on one the the CD is letter K: and the other letter E: . This is how the CD burner shows in the application and may confuse the customer when they burn a CD. I've looked in the registry and many other places in XP to find where this tweak is, haven't found anything. So, if anybody has an idea on the where and how's of this tweak, would appreciate some ideas.
