upgrading XP home to XP pro and keeping all prior info and folders

I want to uprade my computer that has XP home edition retail to XP professional retail and I want to keep all files, folders, ect. that is in the computer. So how do I upgade it and transfer all the data in the Home edition to the Pro edition? Thank you.

You will need a XP Pro CD that has the same or later service pack level as your current XP Home install. Boiot with it, install XP, you will have an "upgrade" option. Go with it.
