Win server 2003 fail to boot

I was running this server for about 1.5 years fine. Then we had a power outage past longer than the battery could hold onto so it went out and took the server down. After trying to restart, it wouldn't boot. I installed XP pro and it seems fine. I ran SMART HD tests and they passed, but I'm also running more tests just to make sure. Is the a hardware prob I should be worried about, or is it most likely due to an improper shutdown?

It would hang at the splash screen. I ran the long dx hd test from Seagate and the drives are fine. Maybe the OS got corrupted somehow? It's running XP instead of server 2003 fine now.
