strange logon issue

I have about 15 identical computers running XP SP3 attached to a domain (server is running win 2003). When a user logs in, group policy is applied and a login script runs. This works for all the workstations except one. This seems to happen on a cold startup, and not usually a restart.

Here's the errors that get spit out in the event viewer. The primary errors seem to be 7519 and 1054, and the rest seem to be caused by those errors.

Code:
error: 1054

Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network. (The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

error: 5719
event source: NETLOGON

No Domain Controller is available for domain MYDOMAINHERE due to the following:
There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. .
Make sure that the computer is connected to the network and try again. If the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

It almost looks like the the server's name/address isn't being resolved, but the user is still being allowed to log in from what's been cached on the workstation.

I've tried running gpupdate, but that only fixes the problem after the user logs in. I've tried changing the computer name, but that didn't solve it.

Any ideas? Thanks
