Are you wanting to add a custom sound or are you just trying to find how to get ANY sound to play (as in, you have NO sound when a message comes in)?

I know it does have sounds though, because I just set up a new email account in Outlook 2007 for my neighbor a couple nights ago and when I sent myself a test email on her system it would make a little "ba-dink" sound.

If it just happens to be turned off, maybe this will help.

As for custom sounds, check this out.

Hi Juppy

Thanx for the info, I will give that a shot. Looks a little involved, but doable.

Thanx...Gunny

Control panel, sounds and audio devices, sounds tab, new mail notification...browse for a new sound.

You can also have a sound played based on who sends you the e-mail by creating a rule in outlook. That is under Tools...rules and alerts in outlook.

Good luck!!
