Computer Alt-tabs on its Own
I recently had a problem with spyware (Spyware Protect 2009). It wouldn't let me run anything without opening up my browser and bugging me to buy their software. However, I solved this problem by deleting the registry entries and the .exe's an anti-spyware site told me to.
But, once every 15 minutes or so it's like I hit alt-tab. It goes straight to the desktop. I tried ending every process that wasn't necessary, but nothing happened. Then I noticed that iexplore.exe came up every time when it alt-tabbed. So I went to Control Panel and uninstalled it. However, it still does it. I did a search on my entire HDD for "iexplore.exe" and found numerous old patches for IE7. My question is, can I delete iexplore? Obviously I'm not asking to delete explorer.exe, but do I need iexplore for XP to run? Thanks for Replies! |

You need to run some good antimalware software. Malwarebytes is the current winner.

You may also want to try this step by step procedure from majorgeeks site. I wish I had found it before i did the nuke and pave on my wifes' laptop this weekend. Good luck!
