Have to log in to XP twice
One of the machines at work is causing a problem as you have to log in twice each morning.
Have checked all startup processes/scripts, done a full rebuild of machine but still getting same problem. Happens whoever logs in so assuming it's maybe a hardware/drivers fault System details taken from GLPI Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz Frequency: RAM DIMM0 (No ECC) Type: SDRAM Frequency: N/A Size: 2048 RAM DIMM2 (No ECC) Type: SDRAM Frequency: N/A Size: 2048 Hard Drive SAMSUNG HD082GJ Capacity: 80GB Network Card Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC - Packet Scheduler Miniport Flow: 100 Mb/s Mac Address: Drives Optiarc DVD RW AD-7173A Writing ability: Yes Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS Interface: PCI-X Memory: Soundcard Realtek High Definition Audio Anybody have any ideas? |

Have you scanned for viruses and malware?
Does that happen if you log in as administrator in safe mode?

Thanks for the response. Got it sorted.
It was down to the recent change of graphics card and not removing all previously installed software. Stopped ATI hotkey from start up and now logs in normally Last edited by freddiej; 03-26-2009 at 04:24 AM. |
