auto log off windows xp professional?

You think this would be simple, but for some reason I'm having trouble getting my computer to auto log off after a set period of time. I just want it to logoff and go to the welcome screen so no one can play around with the administration account as its password protected.

thanks guys for any help

A simple way would be to enable screen saver screen lock. It won't log you out but it will lock your account. Just check the "on resume, Display Welcome screen" in the screen saver properties.

I think you can only do that when you are on a domain, the server will force the logoff.

weird, thought this would come standard in windows. I'll have to do a search for a script or something that will auto logoff. I'm sure there is one that exists.... thanks guys

just figured this bad boy out guys. I'm just using 'fast user switching' and in the screensaver properties i have it checkmarked so when it goes to the screensaver it goes to the welcome screen. then you need a password to get into the administration acct. I like to make things difficult for myself

thanks for the help guys!
