Creating boot disk
(Using XP SP2 OEM version.) Do I need Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) to create a boot CD for my system or is there some other Windows software I can use to make the disk? WAIK is over 900 MB and I'm wondering if I need all of this to make the disk. I tried BARTPe but it doesn't support OEM version, I believe: it came up with a few errors (some files not found) when it scanned my OEM disk.

Your XP CD is all you need for a bootdisk, unless I'm misunderstanding your intentions. Exactly what are you trying to do?

I tried using BARTPe and I have an OEM disk and I don't think it supports OEM disks. It had a few errors which said it couldn't find certain files on the OEM version. I want to make a CD boot disk.
BARTPe instructions here: http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ |

Why do you want to make a BartPE disk? The Windows CD is bootable.
Who is your OEM? |

I have a BartPE boot disk created using a Dell XP Pro SP1 OEM original and it works fine. I remember seeing the warning about OEM not supported and believe I also got some errors (not sure -- it's been a while now) but it ended working. Have you tried burning it to see if it works in spite of the errors?
