App re-launch fails

Win Xp Pro. I installed Nova Development's Berlitz Spanish language course and it ran like a champ. Stopped it and restarted it, no problems. Waited about 10 minutes or so, tried to start it again, nada. BLS.exe listed in Task Manager, but no program running.

Rebooted system and viola, BLS is working, again, for 10 minutes, then, nada, again.
Apparently, after 10 minutes or so, a supporting process doesn't start, or a conflicting process has started, that causes this non-restart problem.

At first, I thought it was AntiVir Guard, so I turned it off, no help, then stopped the entire AV app from loading, still no joy.

How do I find the offending process, or whatever else it is that is causing this application launch problem?

I recall that the application's opening splash screen has a movie or something playing, perhaps it was flash or QuickTime (a required app that the Nova app installed). Could it be that the flash or Quicktime process stops responding, so that the app launch does not progress to the application's operational control panel? If so, what's the fix?

Have you looked on their web site - support section?

If you open Task Mananager and end task on BLS.exe, will it then run ok when you try to launch it?

The app will not launch when I remove BLS.exe from Task Manager. Have to reboot the system, then it runs for about 10 minutes and will not relaunch without a reboot.

I believe it is an XP problem, not Nova Development's. They try to help, but it is beyond their scope of expertise.
