Config32.exe
Windows XP Pro would not boot and said it could not find this file or it was corrupt. I reinstalled Windows and it booted. Then I looked for this file and couldn't find it. Is this file created and saves configurations when Windows shuts down? (I had the choice of installing Windows or repair a Windows installation. I didn't know what to type in Command line when I chose "repair" and it asked for which installation I wanted to repair.) What is the best way to recover Windows if I get this error message again?

It's malware - Xabot worm. Better scan your system.

I guess my latest versions of Spybot and Avast have not caught it. I also have latest Spywareblaster update. How can I get rid of the worm?

I don't think I have Xabot worm. I followed Runalyzer instructions and I ran Hijackthis and I don't have any autorun entries named "win32dll" or entries pointing to C:\WINDOWS\config32.exe. And I don't have files named AUTOEXEC.BAT, config.dll, $WINDIR>\config32.exe (which should be deleted). Guess I'll try Spybot Forum.
