Unhappy DC promo issue Server 2003 SBS

I removed one of the DC servers from a network, there are 2 left. I had to force remove it with DCpromo because it was corrupt and had to be removed.
It is sill showing up on the main server, the domain controller. I would like to remove it because the other backup DC is constantly trying to connect to it and in the event viewer I get this Error message #50070: Unable to connect to the database STS_Config on xxxxBU\SharePoint. Check the database connection information and make sure that the database server is running.
I have the option to delete xxxxBU (which is no longer physicaly attached to the network) from the Active Directory Sites and Services under the Default-First-Ste-Name on the the 2 remaining servers but would that cause any more complications?

Found the solution so never mind.
In case someone runs into this issue I will go ahead and post the link to the article that helped me take care of it:
