get rid of welcome screen--

How do i get rid of the "
log on to windows" screeen (which asks for user name and password) when booting win XP SP3?

Just go to USER ACCOUNTS and disable FAST USER SWITCHING.

In the future if you want to avoid that, if you ever do a reinstall and get all the updates from ms, don't download the optional software, that is where it comes into play.. I learned that a while back and since never have that just goes straight to the desktop..
