Strange Exchange 2007 / Palm Treo Sync Issue

Hey Everyone,

This issue has stumped me. I wanted to open it up to see if anyone else who may have more experience working with Exchange might have any suggestions.

I've got a server running Windows 2003 with Exchange 2007 on top of it (not my configuration, nor my choice). Employees are trying to access their mailbox via Palm Treos, running VersaMail and getting the following error:

AirSAMStateMachine.c2214 6 HTTP/1.1500 Internal Server Error

Now, here's the strange part: the email worked on the Treos until Cox changed the main location's static IP address (I know, that's an oxymoron. We had that discussion with Cox at the time) where the Exchange server is located.

I have done countless hours of researching this issue on Google, Microsoft TechNet, and Palm's support and am about to bite the bullet and escalate it to Microsoft's Advanced Support Division for $259. The issue has been ongoing for about a year.

I was just wondering if any of you had encountered this problem before, and if so, how you managed to fix the problem. If the answer doesn't show itself, I will go ahead and get on the phone with Advanced Support and post the solution here so we can at least get a solution on Google.

Thanks guys!

Tyler
