Can not uninstall SP3

I want to uninstall SP3 because I think it might be preventing one of my vital Canon camera applications from loading or installing. I tried to uninstall SP3 via Control Panel and the Software Update Removal Starts and a message pops up which just says "The System can not find the File Specified" then "Service Pack 3 was not uninstalled". How can I remove SP3? All of my applications worked with SP2.

I think I installed SP3 5-7 mths ago so I do not want to restore my PC way back to that time just to delete SP3.)

Check cannon's site for newer versions.

Seems like there's lots of complaints exactly like this at Microsoft Support and there is no solution except reinstalling Windows then the final version of SP3. Uninstalling in Safe Mode does not work. It seems that Beta SP3 was put on the Automatic Upgrade page (and I installed it). Brilliant. I'm only going as far as SP2, I don't trust SP3.

Just get the latest CANON updates like the FORCE said.
I use two CANON cameras with my systems - that's all I had to do.

1) You do NOT need to uninstall SP3. I have yet to see a case where it is a good idea to do so.

2) Get the latest version of whatever application you're trying to run. Here is cannon's download page: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...wnloadIndexAct

3) If that isn't an option an all you need to do is retrieve the pictures from the memory card, you can get a flash card reader from newegg.com. They go for less than $20. That way, you don't have to mess with any 3rd party software. Just stick the memory card in the flash card reader, and you can simply browse to where the pictures are saved on the card.
