i lost the start menu off the bottom of the screen..

i have to go to the desk top to get on the internet..etc .. its hiding under the bottom edge on the desk top page, i run the cursor down to the edge and it pops up.. doesn't show at all other than in the Desk top.. last week it moved to the right hand vertical side..

i have no idea how to deal with this.. whats causing it, how do i fix it, how do i prevent it from relocating all the time..??..

You can try right-clicking on the taskbar at the bottom and selecting Properties. Make sure "Auto hide taskbar" is NOT checked and if you want the taskbar to always be at the bottom, put a check in "Lock the taskbar".

EDIT: Bout forgot.....if it's stuck to one side, you just have to drag it back to where you want it. Make sure it's not locked, then put your mouse over a part of the taskbar and hold down the left mouse button and drag it back to the bottom or wherever you want it. If you lock it again it'll keep you from accidently moving it like that.

nothing happens off the Desk Top page when i click the bottom bar.. its empty except for the Phisher box , the internet security box symbol.. and a magnifying glass and a percent pop-up indicator

When you move the cursor all the way to the bottom, does it turn into a little black arrow? If so, when it does that, hold down the left mouse button and move your mouse up (or, if your taskbar is over at the right like you mentioned then go to that side and look for it to turn to the little black arrow and pull the mouse to the left). It should pull the taskbar back into view. If that's not what you mean or that doesn't work, then I can't think of anywhere else your taskbar would've disappeared to.
